Meeting the needs of the Healthcare Sector
Whether you’re involved in a hospital, surgery, lab, clinic, pharmacy or other healthcare operation, we can provide everything you need for a complete mobile enterprise solution that will streamline your activities. This includes both bespoke and off-the-shelf software; a wide selection of mobile hardware; and a full range of managed services.
Ultimately, our mobile enterprise solutions will enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and reliability of your healthcare operations without compromising patient safety.
We offer a selection of powerful software apps, based on our flagship platform, Mobile Connect™. These include our Inspections app, which is ideal for increasing the speed and accuracy of your system for recording quality assurance inspections, by automating many processes and ensuring that all of your inspectors are using the same system. It gives high quality, accurate and reliable results and can be used for inspections such as those on healthcare buildings, facilities, equipment and housekeeping.
Our electronic proof of delivery (ePoD) app can prove very useful if your organisation needs to deliver products or track and trace orders. It provides reliable and accurate proof of delivery and collection in real time; minimises the likelihood of human error; and will integrate easily with your existing systems. Our Field Service app streamlines all aspects of a delivery or field tasks and helps drivers to take the fastest, most logical and most convenient routes. It ensures that the right tasks are carried out in the right order.
Another notable software app is SOTI’s MobiControl, the UK’s leading EMM platform. This will enable you to control and manage all of your mobile devices remotely, so that you can optimise their effectiveness and the return on your investment.
The right hardware
We can source a wide variety of rugged handheld solutions from leading manufacturers such as Zebra, Getac, Honeywell, Xplore, M3, Sumo and Datalogic. We can supply devices such as mobile computers, linear imagers, barcode scanners, personal digital assistants (PDAs), tablets, smartphones and mobile printers. Because these devices are rugged, they are ideal for the demanding environments often encountered by transport and logistics companies.
With our voice technology offerings, we can also boost the efficiency of your inspection and maintenance activities by providing a hands-free environment, which will enable your operators to automatically record their observations as they look around.
The right infrastructure
We have a wide range of wireless infrastructure services and can offer you expert advice on deployment, management and support.
Our services include a detailed radio frequency (RF) site survey, and our team of qualified engineers will carry out the installation. We can also carry out health checks that will pre-empt any degradation in the performance of your wireless Local Area Network (WLAN).
Finally, we provide various options for managing, maintaining and supporting your wireless infrastructure.

The Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Metabolic Medicine at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen NHS Trust is using pen scanners provided by Spirit to read barcodes.
The Cardiff Toxicology Laboratories at University Hospital Llandough and the Royal Bolton Hospital are both using imagers; and Spirit provided the Westpoint Veterinary Group with mobile computers for recording the health of the feet of livestock. Meanwhile, The Francis Crick Institute is using a goods receipt and tracking system developed by Spirit for enhancing stock control at its medical research facility.
